BYD launches ATTO 3 EX in Japan with RWD, AWD and up to 620 km range

A substantial Japan-market update
BYD Auto Japan announced that ATTO 3 EX sales begin through its Japanese dealers on 29 September 2026. The entry version switches from front-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive, alongside a new AWD option. Both use a 74.88 kWh Blade battery integrated into the body through CTB construction.
Versions and Japanese prices
RWD costs ¥4,378,000 including tax, with 230 kW and 380 Nm. Its stated range is 620 km. AWD costs ¥4,873,000 including tax, produces a combined 330 kW and 560 Nm, and lists 550 km of range and a 4.0-second 0–100 km/h time.
Range figures use the WLTC test cycle, not a guarantee in real driving. Weather and air-conditioning affect results. These are Japanese prices, not Gulf prices.
Charging and equipment
Peak DC charging acceptance is 100 kW. A 95-litre front trunk, ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel join the equipment list. AWD adds a cooling/heating compartment and head-up display. Driver assistance does not establish autonomous driving capability.
Gulf context
The announcement confirms the Japanese market launch, not a Gulf arrival date, price or delivery start. It does not set a delivery date for every Japanese order.
